The following text describes ls_config.gif.
This illustration shows a Data Guard configuration consisting of a primary database, a physical standby database, and a logical standby database.
From the primary database, archived redo logs are transmitted and applied to each standby database. Log apply services apply the archived redo logs directly to the physical standby database that is running in managed recovery mode. For the logical standby database, log apply services first transform the archived redo log files into SQL statements, which are then applied to the open logical standby database.
