The figure shows the steps for transforming to a distributed OracleAS Cold Failover Cluster (Identity Management) topology on UNIX. There are seven steps:
Perform the steps for transforming to an OracleAS Cold Failover Cluster (Identity Management).
Disable OracleAS Single Sign-On and Oracle Delegated Administration Services on the Oracle Identity Management instance running on the cluster nodes.
Configure virtual server name (for example: sso.mydomain.com) and IP on the load balancer.
Install new Oracle Identity Management instances on additional nodes fronted by the load balancer. These instances will run only Oracle HTTP Server, OracleAS Single Sign-On, and Oracle Delegated Administration Services. These instances will use the virtual hostname and IP to access the Oracle Identity Management instance running on the cold failover cluster nodes.
Configure SSL on the new Oracle Identity Management instances, if you are using SSL.
Update Oracle Delegated Administration Services and OracleAS Single Sign-On information in the OracleAS Metadata Repository.
Update mod_osso registration on the new Oracle Identity Management instances.
