The figure shows requests going through a load balancer and into both I1 and I2 instances. Both instances are running version 1 of the application and both instances belong to Cluster2. Cluster1 is empty.

The two OC4J_Clustered instances are still in the same IP multicast replication group, and because both instances I1 and I2 are running, HttpSession replication is taking place.
