This figure shows two active nodes fronted by an external load balancer. Each node runs the OracleAS Single Sign-On, Oracle Delegated Administration Services, and Oracle HTTP Server components.

The external load balancer is configured with a virtual server name for HTTP(S) traffic. Clients use this virtual server name to access the components running on the nodes.
