This is a text description of Figure 6-6, "General Connection Properties".
The text surrounding the figure describes the use of this dialog box. The figure is a screen capture image and contains example data that may not match your system. You must make selections appropriate for your system. The title bar label is "Connection Properties".
The client area* has four tabs and a row of three buttons at the bottom. The four tabs are labeled "General", "Address", "System Identification", and "802.2 DLC". The "General" tab has been selected.
The General tab has four lines of data and a row of three group boxes. Each group box contains three radio buttons.
The first line has the term "Name:" ("N" is underlined) followed by an edit box containing the entry "HQMVS2". The second row has the term "Link Service:" ("L" is underlined) followed by a drop-down list box containing the entry "SnaDlc1", followed by the term "Token Ring". The third line has the term "Comment:" ("C" is underlined) followed by an edit box containing the entry "802.2 Connection to MVS". The fourth line has a check box (not checked) followed by the label "Supports Dynamic Remote APPC LU Definition".
The first set of radio buttons has the group box label "Remote End", and the buttons are labeled "Host System" (selected), "Peer System", and "Downstream". The second set of radio buttons has group box the label "Allowed Directions", and the buttons are labeled "Outgoing Calls" (selected), "Incoming Calls", and "Both Directions". The third set of radio buttons has the group box label "Activation", and the buttons are labeled "On Server Startup", "On Demand" (selected), and "By Administrator".
The three buttons are labeled: "OK", "Cancel", and "Help".
