Examines the history of textiles from antiquity to the present time, and includes significant developments in the style, technology and function of textiles. Surviving evidence and representations of textiles in the arts and literature are considered. Examines important manifestations of textile and its context in a selection of world cultures, emphasizing the Anatolian and Ottoman arts and design in textiles.
TBT 101 Information Technology
This course offers the basic knowledge of computer use of table top computers and the collection of tools that make it easier to use, create, manage and exchange information. Introduction to computer systems, software and basic applied design programmes.

TMA 131.2 Fashion Accessory Technical Drawing I
Students are introduced to the concept and method of three-dimensional technical drawing and its relation to accessory design. Concentrating on design detail, they learn to sketch the basic shapes in jewellery, footwear, handbags, personal leather goods, belts, etc.
TMA 130 Design Methods
Students explore the major concepts of 2D design: line, shape, texture, harmony, symmetry and color. Basic aspects of 3D design are also studied.

TEM 221 Perception Philosophy
This course aims to introduce students to contemporary philosophy of perception. The objective of the course is to provide students with an overview of the perception philosophy concerning the nature of art. It addresses such matters as the color, form and visual perception and color theories.
TEM 222 Visual Perception
Covers the visual perception, color methodology and form perception in visual arts. It will address such matters as the relationship between art and truth, the appropriate criteria of art criticism, the distinction between art and non-art, and the nature of aesthetic values.
TEM 223.4 Philosophy of Art
Considers the philosophy of art and the logical structure of criticism. Presents a group of problems arising from description, interpretation and evaluation of aesthetic objects, with special emphasis on the visual arts.

TEK 445 Methodology
Terms of basic scientific and research methods are discussed. Scientific research periods and basic stages of scientific research are covered. Gathering information techniques, enquiries, dissertation preparation rules, formats etc. are also taught.
TEK 460 Graduation Project
Based on a specific research topic, students research, design, and execute a project and prepare a thesis and a product line, under a supervision of a dedicated faculty of design professional.
