Exhibition information

İzmir will be hosting GARS 2008 – Symposium on Geophysics and Remote Sensing in Determination of Near-surface Structures. The Symposium will be held Wednesday 30 April to Friday 2 May 2008 inclusive in Desem Congress Centre of Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir, in the city center of İzmir.

The aim of this symposium is to bring together the practitioners applying geophysical and remote sensing techniques, used extensively in determination of near-surface objects and to contribute to the development of communication and transmission of information among researches working on shallow structures using a multi-disciplinary approach. This Symposium is intended to be an open forum for archaeologists, geophysicists, geologists, engineers, physicists and environmental scientists as well as other interested experts and professionals to meet and discuss the actual practice and future developments of geophysical and remote sensing methods in near-surface applications.

İzmir plays a special role as being one of the important research and education centres in Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean. This area possesses many strengths in handling near surface related studies. We would like to call all scientists and experts to participate such a nice occasion and to support this symposium. Total exhibition area is 150 m2, and price per m2 is €100. Included in the exhibition price is; a table, chairs, bilboards, electricity and internet connection. Exhibitors are requested to complete the Exhibition Contract  and return it with the firm logo in high resolution .tif format to the Secretariat of Symposium by e-mail (gars2008@deu.edu.tr) before February 1, 2008.
