Student Advisory Board (SAB)

Mission Statement

The following is the mission of the Board

  1. Provide feedback to the Department from the student body regarding the undergraduate program ,
  2. Assist the Department during the evaluation of the objectives and learning outcomes of the undergraduate program,
  3. Inform the student body about the Department’s plans and work related to the undergraduate curriculum,
  4. Assist the Department during the MÜDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs in Turkey) accreditation process.

Board Members

  • Undergraduate students representing 1st - 4th year students (min. 8 students);
    • 1st year: BAHAR KARABIYIK, GİRAY BAĞCI
    • 2nd year: CANAN SAYKAL, CANER KAYATEKİN
    • 3rd year: KONURALP SİVRİ, KAĞAN ATAMINKURTARDIĞIESİR
    • 4th year: ALPER GÜNEREN, GİZEM SEVER

The Department Head (DH) is the Chairperson of the Board. The Board elects a Vice Chairperson (VC) and a Secretary from among the members at the beginning of each spring semester. A member can serve as a Vice Chairperson only once. The Secretary can be elected for consecutive terms.

Responsibilities of the Vice Chairperson

  1. To help the Chairperson and the Board in the realization of the Board’s mission and plans related to the Department’s needs and programs.
  2. To prepare the meeting agenda after consulting the Board Chairperson and members .
  3. To coordinate the Board meetings.
  4. To report the Board’s activities.

Responsibilities of the Secretary

To help the Chairperson and the Vice Chairperson in the planning of the meetings, keeping the minutes and preparing reports.
