Subacute myelo-optic neuropathy- Case report

A neurologic disorder which known as subacute myelo-optic neuropathy (SMON) characterized by a predominantly sensory neuropathy, myelopathy and visuel impairment. Almost all instances of this disorder have been shown to follow usage of clioquinol. Most cases have occured in Japan. In this paper we present a case SMON induced by antituberculous treatment in uremia. In the search for literature we disclosed only one report which has similar properties.
