Todd’s Paralysis in Status Epilepticus

Sultan Tarlacı, Ayşe Sağduyu

Todd’s paralysis is known as transient, focal neurologic deficit following seizure disorders. Although transient unilateral muscle weakness is the most obvious symptom of Todd’s paralysis, transient aphasia, memory impairment, visual loss and hypoestesia may also be seen. In this study, 14 patients with Todd’s paralysis following Status epilepticus were evaluated. The probable aetiological factors for Todd’s paralysis were analysed.
