About Kemer:
Kemer is a seaside resort in the province of Antalya, Turkey which lies
along the Gulf of Antalya on the Mediterranean sea on the skirts of
western Taurus mountains. It is approximately 40 km from the city of
Antalya. The district has a population of 36,010 according to the 2010
census. One of the major attractions of Kemer is its natural beauty.
The sea, forest and mountains combine in harmony. The shore that starts
from Beldibi to Tekirova is consisted of completely natural beaches with
many small and large natural bays along the shore. Kemer has shown a
great development in the past years. Because of the tourism related
investments, it includes a large amount of bed capacity of the Antalya
region. Kemer is also a good example of a modern urbanization. The
infrastructure being successfully completed, the transportation being
easy, the availability of every kind of communication services and the
municipalital service to be largely increased turns Kemer into a
comfortable and peaceful holiday resort and gives it an internationally
accepted reputation
About Antalya:
Antalya is known as the Turkish Riviera. The sun, sea, nature and
history combine to form a very popular resort, highlighted by some of
the cleanest beaches in the Mediterranean. The 650km shoreline of the
province is liberally scattered with ancient cities, harbors, memorial
tombs and beaches, secluded coves and lush forests, many of which are
easily accessible from the city. With its palm-lined boulevard,
internationally-acclaimed marina, and old castle with traditional
architecture, all set amidst a modern city, Antalya is a major tourist
centre in Turkey. In addition to the wide selection of hotels,
restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops, the city also plays host to a
number of sporting events throughout the year, like International Beach
Volleyball, triathlon, golf tournaments, archery, tennis and canoeing
competitions. The main area of interest in the city is central old
quarter within the Roman walls, known as Kaleici, and there are many
good museums. The provincial capital is Antalya city with a population
of 714,000. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, in 2011 the
city had a population of 965.000 and the metropolitan municipality
1,042,000. The climate in Antalya bears the Mediterranean climate
features. The mild weather conditions offer holiday possibilities in all
seasons. Sometimes you can experience four seasons in one day in Kemer.

The famous cultural spots of city of Antalya
are as follows:
Kaleiçi (Old city): The Ancient walls of Kaleiçi are the joint monument
of the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods, and
under protection by High Council of Immovable Monuments and Antiquities
as a protected area due to its unique texture.
Yivli Minaret: it was built in the reign of Anatolian Seljukian Sultan
Alaeddin Keykubat (1219 -1236). Ulu Cami (Ulu Mosque): It was actually
built as a Basilica in V. century then was repaired during the Ottoman
period, a part of it used as Mevlevihane (whirling dervish hall) and
then opened to service as a mosque. Karatay Madrasah: Turkish – Islamic
monuments built in the middle of XIII century; Evdir Han and Kırgız Han
(Evdir and Kırgız Caravanserai) up to the 20th century travelling was by
horses and camels,The caravans stopped in "Han" and caravanserai on the
road. They are Seljukian monuments which were built in XIII century;
Düden and Kurşunlu Waterfalls, Lara, Konyaaltı Beaches. Perge-- It is an
important Pamphylian city, situated on the Cilicia – Pisidia trade route.
The foundation of the city coincides with other Pamphylian cities (VII.
Century BC). Perge was important for Christians. Saint Paulos and
Barnabas came to Perge. It has ruins such as theatre, stadium, main road
with columns and agora were found; Karain Cave, ancient site of the
Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic and Bronze ages; Ariassos: ancient
Roman site with hamams (bath), rock tombs and remains of necropolis with
magnificent tombs.
How to get to Antalya:
By Air:
Antalya is well connected to other parts of Turkey by regular scheduled
flights from Istanbul and Ankara. There are also direct scheduled
flights as well as charter flights from major cities in Europe. Antalya
Airport terminal buildings are located 13 km away from Antalya city
center. It has two international terminals that are located near to each
other and there is a free shuttle service operating 24 hours a day
between the two terminals. Please check the following links to get

Please note that some airlines have direct flights from/to Istanbul all
year round. However, their direct flights to Antalya only operate in
summer. Please check with the airline or with your travel agency about
further flight details.
International flights arrive at the Antalya Airport - which is
approximately a 25 - minute drive to Antalya. Kemer is 44 km from
Antalya city center. There is no direct public transportation from
Antalya Airport to Kemer. HAVAS bus service available at the rate of
Euro 5.- to Antalya and regular minibus service available from Antalya
to Kemer.
By Road:
Turkey has a vast system of intercity coaches and that’s the most
convenient method of internal transport, especially for travel to
southern Turkish resorts. Coach services are reasonably priced. Antalya
is easily accessed from most parts of the country. Major routes include
Istanbul (12 hours), Ankara (7 hours) and Izmir (6.30 hours). The main
bus station in Antalya (Yeni Garaj) is 4km north of the city centre.
Because of the competition among the private bus companies, the quality
of services is quite high as well. Some of the best companies include:
Ulusoy (website: www.ulusoy.com.tr), which serves international
destinations, Ankara, the Black Sea, as well as Izmir and Antalya. Varan
(website: www.varan.com.tr), which also serves international, western
and southern routes. Kamil Koç (website: www.kamilkoc.com.tr), which
serves a wide range of destinations throughout Turkey, including Bursa,
Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Bodrum, Fethiye and Canakkale. Long journeys are
usually made at night, leaving Istanbul between 22:00 and 24:00 and
arriving at the destination in the morning.
There are bus services to Istanbul from some major cities in France,
Germany and Greece. Please see the web sites of bus companies such as

How to get to Kemer:
From Antalya Bus Station:
There is a transportation by minibus from Antalya coaching station
(Otogar) alternatively per ten minutes. It is about one hour away from
Antalya. Being road parallel to the coast, allows you to see beautiful
panoramas throughout road.
Minibus services run frequently during the day, and is about EUR 5 per
person. It takes about One and a half hour to get to Kemer from Antalya.

The Turkish government requires visa from citizens of certain countries.
