Introduction
Courses offered in design programs are printing, weaving, fashion apparel design, fashion accessory design. The goal is to give an overall education in cultural and practical knowledge.
Courses offered in textile and fashion design program aim to promote students’ own creativity, flexibility and to teach them to respond to artistic and commercial challenges. Their didactic and creative approach to academic study is accompanied by cultural lectures, creative work in design studio, technical courses, researches, work excursions, guest seminars, exhibitions and a 75-day work experience. Graduates complete their four-year course by presenting and defending a thesis before receiving their graduation certificates. The Textile Department of the Faculty requires undertaking the following courses.
Students will choose a major field of study and in addition they must complete courses of a program 28 credit per semester in the following subjects: basic design, general art history (I-II-III), computer design, costume history, textile history, art philosophy, visual perception, fashion and textile marketing, contemporary textile art, business law, methodology, preparation of collections and portfolio design; a graduation piece (design a product). |
