In case of emergency please call: 00 90 532 792 43 00- Dr. Ozge Ozgen

In case the number of guests arriving in Izmir via the airport or port is limited, we kindly ask you to arrange your own transportation between your arrival point and the conference hotel.

The following modes of transportation are some suggestions.

Arriving in Cesme by Ferry from Chios, Greece

There are daily ferry services from Chios to Cesme. The company, of which the website is given below, offers two services each day; one in the morning at 08.30, and the other one at 18.30 in the afternoon. The price is currently 25 Euros. The company reserves the rights to alter prices and timetables according to demand, so you are advised to book your tickets as soon as possible. On your arrival, you would be asked to pay 10 Euros visa fee at the customs. Another 20-30 Euros (40-60 Liras) would be needed for the taxi, which would take you from the port to the conference hotel.

Make sure that the taxi driver turns on the taxi-meter, which would give you the exact amount to be paid once the final destination is reached.

Arriving at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport

10 Euros visa fee would also apply to those international passengers arriving at the Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. There are municipality-run shuttle services between the airport and the Izmir bus terminal. The shuttle runs 40 past of each hour from the Domestic Terminal, and 45 past of each hour from the International Terminal, between 02.40 in the morning and 24.40 in the evening. After collecting your luggage, please wait outside the terminals for the shuttle service, and ask for guidance to spot the bus stops. The shuttle number you should take is 204. In order to use the service, you should purchase a city-transportation card, which is around 5 Liras, and allows you to use any public transportation in Izmir during your stay for approximately 3 times. This means that you can use the same card on your way back to the airport. The shuttle service between the airport and the bus terminal would vary depending on your arrival time and the traffic in the city, but generally does not exceed an hour-long trip.
