The Dokuz Eylul University of Izmir, founded in 1982, is the largest university among the Izmir’s five universities with approximately 33,000 students and is a comprehensive research institution. There are two Archaeological Departments in Izmir (both with archaeological collections) as well as two large Archaeological Museums.

The conference sessions will be held in the spacious meeting hall of the university’s Rectorate Hall, DESEM.

Please note that only very few people in Izmir speak any foreign languages. It is therefore recommended to learn some practical Turkish words for your convenience in Izmir.
