BUS TRAVEL FROM BALKAN COUNTRIES TO IZMIR

Izmir is one of the major city with a large Turkish immigrant population from Balkan countries. Therefore there are several bus companies operating between Bulgaria, Greece and Roumania to Izmir. They are cheap, but uncomfortable.

Their web sites: Avar <http://www.avarturizm.com/>; Kamil Koç <http://www.kamilkoc.com.tr>, Has <http://www.hasturizm.com.tr>, Nilüfer <http://www.niluferturizm.com.tr>, and Varan <http://www.varan.com.tr>.

You can also use them in your domestic transportation in Turkey. Varan is the most comfortable one.

From Izmir Central Bus Terminal to Conference Hall or to Your Hotels

From the bus terminal of Izmir there are buses and dolmuş services to the downtown. To come to the Conference Hall you need to take buses or dolmuş to “Alsancak”. You can pay at the bus or dolmuş; no need to purchase a ticket previously. You could also take a taxi from the Central Bus Terminal to the downtwon which is a little of more expensive (ca. 50 ytl; ca. 27 €).

There are some banks in the Central Bus Terminal of Izmir. There are private money exchange offices in downtown; but also banks (see above).
